With the simple but incredibly difficult assignment of building a small house on a small plot at a reasonable price, Slovakian studio JRKVC designed the IST Family House as a solution. The structure, located in the village of Cunovo, Bratislava, is constructed with readily available local materials like wood clay and straw, enhancing its environmental friendliness. With one completely transparent side and another triple-glazed, the home displays both an open illumination and closed-off privacy. The classic gabled roof supports extra space on the second floor which is used for a room, office space and library.
