Another Sunday, another round-up. As is now tradition, we bring you the best of the week, gathering our favourite stories in a neat little package. This week we picked the best of the Milan shows, talked progress in London’s menswear scene, couldn’t decide between two excellent minimalist watches and stared through the body of a transparent Swedish speaker system. Read on for more.
Nendo rarely disappoint and this latest product, the Draftsmen01 watch, is no exception. Using ruler style markings on the outside rather than inside of the case as well as a thick, stainless steel frame, the timepiece has a rather three dimensional feel we truly dig.
British Menswear Under the Spotlight
Following a busy LC:M, we take a minute to chat progress and growth in the British menswear scene, finding the balance between its trademark “creativity” and offering a solid, sellable product to lure in the buyers. “While LC:M has been impressive, the main factor in British menswear’s growth has been the designers themselves. They’ve learnt from the mistakes of others, working on becoming functioning businesses as opposed to creative types stitching pieces of fabric together in their bedroom.”
A See-Through Speaker From Sweden
Swedish design firm People People appeal to those who don’t wish to make a statement with imposing sound systems (but essentially want to show off) with this near transparent eco-friendly speaker. Purchase a piece of equipment that does that “don’t look at me/look at me” thing perfectly.
Beautiful Louis Vuitton Spring 2015 Accessories Inspired by Jaipur, India
Louis Vuitton are of course an accessory brand at heart, and while they continue to churn out tear-inducing separates season after season, it’s those shiny, fresh accessories that really make us sigh. From next Spring, look out for zig-zag print silk scarves, monogram totes, tanned deer doctor bags, Indian sundials charms and the new range of casual, water-repellent sports bags, the “V Collection.”
10 Keychains to Get You Organized
Keychains are an addictive little buy. You’ll always need one, they’re (generally) affordable and, as you look at your current choice everyday, boredom sets in after a couple of months. From Haerfest, Parabellum and Bedwin, to Apolis and COS, ideas for your next favourite await.
The Workshop – An Award-Wining Industrial Space in London
The Workshop in the London Borough of Camden sits just in view of our London base and we’ve spent many an afternoon daydreaming about calling this place home. Now it’s on the market we get to have a proper snoop around this incredible, stripped back space that manages to balance warmth with industrial cool. Fellow NW1-ers, back off.
PB 0110 Leather Accessories Release Fall 2014 Collection Images
PB 0110 from Philipp Bree hit our raydar back in February with their cool, contemporary leather goods presented with equally cool and contemporary imagery. No change then as we visit Fall 2014. Clean and simple.

As Fashion Weeks roll around we can’t help feeling a little overwhelmed by the sheer amount of shows. So for the sake of clarity and to make things a little easier for us all, we’ve gathered together key looks to give you a flavour of happenings on the runway. From Brioni, Jil Sander, Prada and the gang, keep your eyes peeled for more from across the global schedule.
Filson Release All-Black Rugged Twill Luggage Set
The first of an all black pair, the Filson Twill luggage set takes 14 of those much-loved carriers including water and tear-resistant totes, duffles, and rucksacks and apply that most understated of shades.
The All-Black Umbra Watch from Larsson & Jennings
A label founded by a couple of old pals, Anglo-Swedish watch brand Larsson & Jennings bring more all-black goodness with their Umbra watch “inspired by the shadowed tones of STHLM street style and the urban subcultures of the city.” With its calf leather strap and matt finish, we’re well onboard.
