MLS MVP Mike Magee Spoofs “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”

Although the World Cup ended a little over a week ago, soccer continues to sweep the hearts of many Americans. This video by KickTV starring Major League Soccer (MLS) MVP Mike Magee fuses classic American slacker film, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, with their growing love for soccer. Magee, garbed in the iconic jacket and vest combination worn by Matthew Broderick, plays sick and takes a break from his normal MLS day. The MVP reenacts classic scenes from the cult classic, including the infamous car chase and parade extravaganza with a star-studded cast of professional soccer players — famed goalkeeper Hope Solo and Thierry Henry, to name a few. Remember: “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and catch the game once in a while, you might miss it.”
