Frighteningly enough, another month has passed us by. But instead of fretting, we look back at some noteworthy moments in print and online editorial from what was July. Things like these — Jerry Seinfeld as a fashion model, Kate Moss as a gypsy and Margiela’s disclosure of their atelier — these keep us looking forward to another month.

 

A Poster a Day by Alex Proba on AnOther

For the past year, Kickstarter graphic designer Alex Proba has spent 30 minutes each night creating a poster without the constraints of project briefs and guidelines. The end result is a compilation of manipulated images and original illustrations that signify the fruits of each day’s labor. Constance Jablonski for Numero #154 2014 Art Issue

Adorning the cover of Numero’s 2014 Art Issue is the beautiful Constance Jablonski. Covered in only red, white and blue body paint, the French model poses with a lizard on an unoccupied beach. Why? Makoto Azuma Launches Bonsai into Space

In his new project, Exbiotanica, Makoto Azuma launches a 50 year-old Japanese white pine named “Shiki” and an untitled arrangement of flowers into space using a helium balloon. The botanic artwork is mesmerizing as images show the two plants floating in suspended animation. Go here to see them in their new ungrounded habitat.

 

The New Gypsies on i-D

Ian McKell’s The New Gypsies documents the Post-Punk and Anti-Thatcher protesters that have vacated London for the English countryside since 1986. With their bohemian clothing ensembles and elaborately decorated horse-drawn carriages, the group of nomadic rural anarchists are surely worth a look. View the editorial here.
