Soulland Spring/Summer 2015 – “Deco” Through a Contemporary Lens

This week we stopped by Gallery Andersen Contemporary, Copenhagen, to take in the impressive Spring/Summer 2015 situation from the crew at Soulland. Entitled “Deco,” the collection harked back to cultural highlights from the inter-war period and the new found freedom of the age. On offer: a jacquard weave suit with casual detailing including press studs and elastic waistbands, an eye-popping shade of electric blue taking over a goat leather and lamb suede jacket, a tropical shirt giving the nod to Deco heartland Miami and a silk all-over print dressing gown that immediately hit our ‘need’ list. The brand continue to push their unique take on contemporary menswear, friendly cuts and inventive pattern, maintaining that fine balance between wearable and experimental. Superb.
