With inspiration from their extensive design archive, Red Wing introduce the Blacksmith boot, a truly classic working man’s boot. Red Wing inform us that this style of shoe became very popular in rural America circa early 1900s — One would wear the boots in the field or workshop back in the day and then polish them up for a night out on town. Versatility at its finest.
To accompany the release, Red Wing give us a unique look into a key component of their leather tanning process — African Teak wood drums play a major role in making your boots look proper. Leather hides undergo a multi-day tanning process inside of the Italian made containers and eventually end up on a new pair of boots. See the video below and make sure to visit Red Wing online to learn more about the collection here. Available now.
