These days it seems like there’s an app for everything.  Now, storied fashion house Hermès is jumping on the app-wagon and launching a new mobile application just for men. The Tie Break app comes on the heels of last year’s successful Silk Knot app for women, and is half homage to the company’s heritage and half shopping platform which allows discerning tie fanatics to purchase the latest and greatest neckwear and clothing on their mobile devices.

First designed in 1949 by Bobby Breward after a casino in Cannes demanded all men wear ties upon entry, the five-fold silk tie has become synonymous with the Hermès brand. Each and every tie takes up to one year to make, and is only sold in six-month cycles, making them priority items for true tie connoisseurs. Not only does the app alert shoppers when a new collector tie is available, it also offers “how to knot” tutorials, vintage-inspired cartoons, charming GIFs, and old-fashioned arcade-style games. Download the app here.
