March LA.B Create “Electric Black” AM59 Watch for colette

A French-made brand with its headquarters in Los Angeles, March LA.B continues to rework vintage styles with a contemporary “luxe” finish. Founded by Alain Marhic in 2008, an ex-surfer and former Director of Operations at Quicksilver, the label moved away from Swiss manufacturing in its early years, opting to tap into traditional French craftsmanship, creating their line in Morteau; an area in the eastern part of the country well known for its master makers.

Here they join with long-time supporters colette for another collaborative timepiece. The “Electric Black” AM59, one of our favourite models, utilizes an all-black colorway for a slick finish. Working with what the brand describe as “furiously beveled corners,” sharply cut dark stainless steel sits on a black leather band, the only hint of light found at the white tips of the hands, 12 and 9 indexes and the date box. Of course, colette being colette, blue plays its part in the most subtle of details; a slight navy hue to the anti-reflective domed mineral sapphire coated glass. Find one at colette.
