London-based writer and TV broadcaster Rick Edwards takes on the Timberland challenge and heads away from the fast-paced frenzy of city life, undertaking a two-day road trip to the Isle of Wight. The destination was selected by and tailored to Edwards, who went to school near the Isle, but never had the opportunity to explore all the area had to offer. As a well-recognized style figure and equally capable journalist, Edwards was a natural fit as one of Timberland’s trailblazing “Mark Makers.”
Accompanying Edwards on his modern day exploration is a full bag of Timberland’s most current and durable Spring/Summer 2015 clothing options. The brand further challenged Edwards to intentionally “get lost” and put himself in a new situation that allow him to reflect on his life and the mark he’s left thus far. You can follow his and other Mark Makers’ journeys in realtime on Timberland’s social media channels and website. Edwards will be using the special hashtags #InMyElement, #MarkMaker and #2days1bag to help interested parties follow along. There will also be a Pinterest competition surrounding the initiative.
