Japanese clothing chain Uniqlo has made quite an impact in its short time outside of Japan. New York has got its own Uniqlo flagship, London got a new store as well and Paris is following soon. Hopefully the expansion goes at this speed for some time, because if you do not have one close by yet, you are definitely missing out.

The quality is good and definitely more than ok considering the price. If you are in the need of any kinds of basics, Uniqlo is the place to go. With their recent addition of t-shirts, they now also offer in that section a nice selection.

Here you get a first look at their Spring/Summer 2008 collection. They offer very solid pieces in the line, nice classic shorts, striped tees, shirts and more. Details such as the light weight fleece scarfs and the hats, make the collection less standard and boring.

Uniqlo definitely offers everything you need to fill the gaps in your wardrobe. Check out some more Spring/Summer '08 styles after the jump.

Founded in England in 1880, Barker Black has been revived by two brother not too long ago. Now they present a modern alternative to Men’s shoes and accessories. You just have to love their shoes. Outstanding quality of leathers, sole and remarkable attention to detail. Also their unconventional skull and bones logo is a nice contrast to the other classic English shoe makers.

There is a break in the tradition concerning image and brand equity, at the same time they present super classic footwear, sometimes with a twist. You have to check out their collection here.

Too many nice shoes to name our favorite, but the Velvet Slipper is in the top 5!

The Hublot Big Bang is definitely the watch that brought the traditional Swiss brand back to life. About 2 years ago, nobody heard or was interested in the brand, suddenly the Big Bang surfaced and was the new hit. Just in time, when the Audemars Piquet Offshore series was loosing popularity, simply because it was too much out there, Hublot jumped in and took that place with the Big Bang.

After the very popular Luna Rossa limited edition version of the watch, they now present the Ayrton Senna edition. The Hublot Big Bang Aryton Senna All Black Rattrapante sports the Ayrton Senna Institute, a non-profit institute founded by Viviane Senna, the sister of the deceased Brazilian racing driver, the Ayrton Senna. The watch is a Chronograph Split-Second with Power Reserve indicator in black with Ayrton Senna's signature in red and the Brazilian flag in green and yellow on the Split-Second hand which can be used to record an intermediate time by means of the two chronograph seconds hands.

An incredible watch. In case you are interested, you better have good connections to your watch dealer, because these will be hard to find! Oh, and they go for 25'000 USD!

Our favorite French brand A.P.C. has released some new products in their online store. The drop consisted of the "Double Centimeter" bracelet. It looks like a measuring band and comes on premium leather in three colorways. The other release was the "Derbies", a really nice and classic suit shoe in black. Something that you just cannot go wrong with.

Sophnet presents a new range of products, called "New Year" Items. Among this drop you find once again some Dr. Romanelli specials, including jackets, pants and t-shirts. Also they present the first piece of the Uniform Experiment collection, a polo shirt. As reported earlier, Uniform Experiment is a collaboration with Hiroshi Fujiwara, and will be a more dressy label over all. Other releases include mainly t-shirts by both Sophnet and their F.C.R.B. label.

Among the latest releases by Converse are these Jack Purcell Canvas styles. The mix of premium brown leather and beige or respectively khaki canvas makes a perfect match and an overall nice sneaker. It definitely has a more classic look and feel, almost like an upper class sneaker from along time ago.

Neighborhood gets ready to release the next exclusive item in their online store. This time they created an M-65 jacket, the Original Jacket. It comes with a nylon body, the usual M-65 characteristics, and several tags, as well as a print on the front chest.

The Neighborhood Original Jacket will be released online the 26th of December!

Garbstore, which calls their style Unfamiliar Vintage, has been striking us since its inception this Fall/Winter season. By mixing vintage western shirts, technical jackets and smart collaborations, it is probably the only brand out of Europe (we also do not see any by the way in the US), that created something that we usually only see from Japanese brands. Smart adaption of classics.

For Spring/Summer '08 they give us a little preview, Hawaiian shirts. From most other brands we would not really be feeling the idea, but for Garbstore it just makes sense! Something to look out for!

On a side note, they carry in their online store also Steve Alan and Mountain Research, two great brands, that are pretty hard to come by in Europe.

French cult label A.P.C. has now released a new Karaoke CD. It is great seeing a brand being to consequent about their communication. That is also reflected again in this CD, having tracks such as Like A Virgin by Madonna, Dead End Streets by The Kinks and at the same time Too Much by The Spice Girls. It's now available here.

American made boot company Red Wing teams up with Ronnie Fieg for David Z's 25th year anniversary. Red Wing makes the highest quality hand crafted boots in the world and they have been doing it since 1905. David Z. has been selling Red Wings for over 20 years and have sold thousands of pairs to customers from all over the world including Japan for the big Red Wing boom back in the early 90's. Since then, Japan has made it a staple and the rest of the world is taking a closer look at what Ronnie thinks is the best boot making company ever.
 
On this boot they used a very rich oilly brown leather along with a black welt and the classic white outsole. "25th year" is embossed on the outside of the boot. The price is set at $250.

60 pairs will be produced, 30 pairs will be available online at davidz.com along with 30 pairs available at the flagship store(556 broadway bet. prince and spring st.) on Dec. 21st. Via Highsnobiety.

Neighborhood and Fragment present a few nice collaboration pieces this season. The latest ones to drop are the Duffle Coat and the Scout Glasses. The duffle coat comes in navy blue and black with a white or respectively red waterproof zipper, nylon elbow patches and a hood. Once again they manage to add functionality to a classic, the outcome is really nice.

Silas has been a brand pretty hard to come by in the last couple of years. Now Hanon has received a good amount of their Fall/Winter collection. The brand presents a nice range of goods, in general classics with a modern twist, always with attention to detail and quality in mind. Shirts, jackets and accessories are now available and definitely worth checking out!

As part of their Fall/Winter 2007 collection Goodenough got together with Perfecto by Scholl and presents a timeless leather down jacket in two colorways. The jacket will definitely keep you warm this winter and in the years to come. Via Revolution Information.

Arkitip now entered into an exclusive agreement with the China Town Soccer Club. We have reported about them before, here a quick recap.

"The CSC is a semi-organized crew of artists, photographers, skateboarders and designers who meet year-round for friendly soccer matches in New York City's Chinatown."

Photographer Peter Sutherland is one of the founders of the club, and thus photobooks, t-shirts, and other goodies are released every once in a while. Arkitip now sells all the Chinatown Soccer Club goods in their online store. After the jump the rest of the current line-up.

Onitsuka Tiger got together with Mini to create a special sneaker commemorating the released of their Mini Clubman. We presented to you a while ago the black colorway. Now the set has been released, consisting of overall three colorways - black, beige and brown. The Mini metal wings logo appears on the back heel.

The R55 has now been released at Mita. After the jump detailed pictures of all three colorways.

Besides the much anticipated release of the Neighborhod x Supreme capsule collection, the Japanese brand has one last drop of their own collection this month. This drop consists of some more leather jackets, with fur linings, quilted plaid shirts and also some beanies.

Visvim has just released their latest products of their Fall/Winter 2007 collection. Among the release were the new Girdwood Boots, which come in three colorways. Other products in this release were the Kenai Wool Shirt, a collaboration with Woolrich, a traditional US wool producer, featuring nice elbow patches in technical nylon. The shirt comes in three colorways. Last but not least they released the Fluxus 03 Crash1 denim, a washed denim with lots of details. Pics via Figure.

We have officially found our favorite jacket for this winter. Living Mutants is a new label out of Berlin and instead of going the normal path of starting off with t-shirts and hoodies, the brand presents as their first piece a leather down jacket - the Stealth Generation.

The jacket is an update to the infamous 80´s style bomber jackets, remixed as a down puffa with intricate details. Features such as its concealed invisible zipper, embedded goose down filled warmth-circulation cavities, and a removable fur-collar amplify the appearance of the cow nappa leather outer.

The jacket is only a preview of the Ressurection Line that the brand is releasing in 2008 and is exclusively available at Firmament. The price is obviously not very low, but in this case it is definitely justified.

Beinghunted once again teams up with Bagjack, the premier bike messenger bag maker out of Berlin. They present a holiday special, a larger version of their previous collaboration. The new Beinghunted x Bagjack I-B bag comes in a black colorway with white details. It's now available at The Glade.

The new Modern Amusement Holiday 2007 collection has now been released in their online store. The Malibu brand has always manged a nice balance between surf wear and the dandy look and continue in that direction. The new collection has a nice line-up of t-shirts, denim, shirts, hoodies, knitwear and also accessories. The colors are also looking good in this collection, never boring and in most cases also not over the top. Make sure to check it out!
