Mori Ex Cacao - Skull Chocolate
Other
We came cross these fantastic chocolate creations by Valierie Confections. If they only taste as good as they look, they have something there.
"Valerie Confections has collaborated with D.L. & Company to create the year’s most intriguing chocolate collection.
Modern Alchemist Douglas Little & Confectioner Valerie Gordon, drawn together by a mutual admiration for the quality and beauty of each other’s creations, are pleased to debut the MORI EX CACAO COLLECTION. Based on DL&Co’s Memento Mori Collection, the exquisite skulls are rendered in bittersweet chocolate, filled with one of three delicious centers, then individually painted with colored cocoa butter to
achieve the pristine, disturbing result.
These marvelous and macabre chocolate skulls are among the most extravagant confections made today"

Rogues Gallery Flagship Store Portland
Stores
Rogues Gallery is about to open its first flagship store in its hometown, Portland. It's a bit of an odd choice for a first store, but on the other hand it's good to see that they are connected to their roots.
"The result of his experimenting: a 1,000-square-foot former perfumery—the lavender still lingers—with sweaters spun at local farms, hand-loomed blankets from Northport's Swans Island, and one-off bags sourced from vintage materials and overdyed on site. (And, of course, his main line.) Just don't look for him to duplicate it in NYC or L.A. "We're sort of interested in B-plus cities, like Seattle, Vancouver, and San Francisco," he says." Via Men.Style.com.
Exactly what we would expect from the brand in terms of product. We cannot wait to see them pop up in other places!

One thing is for sure, it will be interesting to see what Kim Jones does with the brand, should he take over! We'll keep you posted!

Who wants to be a billionaire?
Books & Magazines
Love him or hate him, you have to respect the mini-empire Marc Ecko has been able to build over the last decade. Entrepreneur Magazine features him in an article about how to develop the "billionaire mind-set". No doubt he is getting such mainstream exposure because of his recent stunt involving the purchase of Barry Bond's record breaking baseball, but it is an interesting read. I picked my copy up at the airport but you can read the article here.

We offer you a view of the Krane Bag collection which uses waxed cotton exteriors for that subtle rain guard as well as magnetic closures to keep things easy - think industrial field wear with a clear sense of good fashion.
Visit them at www.kranedesign.com.
Capsule Show - Toy Me!
Fashion
They say Italo's do it better... and that may well be the case with street modern jewelers Toy Me of Milan.
Sticking to their "We play Seriously" credo, Toy Me continues to transform modern day household staples into some of the most unique jewelry around. Take for instance, Paper Cuts, by Paris designer Thomas Jaillot together with Marco De Michelis. The silver scissors wrap around your arm in both the open and close position.
The BBQ ashtray will surly be a talking point the next time your guests need to step out for some air.
There is indeed something playful and modern at Toy Me. You'll want it.
