Since a while now we are big fans of porcelain art. It is incredible what some artists manage to do with this classic material, that was to date only known for the use in the kitchen. This is the latest we came across.

Jonathan Adler’s latest is the Apothecary of Emotion ~ a collection of porcelain mugs and vessels ideal for those who have a need to compartmentalize their emotions not just mentally, but physically. There are matte translucent white porcelain jars for Hate, Anger, Joy, and Love… and two moody glazed porcelain mugs: Joy/Anger and Love/Hate. Via Notcot.

With the new Gucci flagship store on 5th avenue in NYC just around the corner of opening, the Italian luxury brand has got some special products aligned. They will be releasing a "Gucci Hearts NY" collection.

"Gucci is also launching a special microsite to go along with the launch of the "Gucci Hearts NY" products. All "Gucci Hearts NY" and Fifth Avenue products can only be purchased at the new Fifth Avenue store and each bears an inscribed internal "Gucci 5th Avenue" plaque" Via FWD.

Something to look out for! The "Hearts NY" idea is maybe not the most original, but at least they are starting to do specials for such events, which is definitely something a lot of people will be buying into!

Here some more video stuff we came across. This time Isaac Mizrahi will be debuting his own channel.

Visvim and Sophnet got together once again to work on the Kiefer Hi. It comes in a gold and a silver colorway and features the scorpion logo that the brand used this Fall/Winter 2007/08 season. These have now been released in stores. Via Conope.

To support the Global Fund (fighting Aids, Tuberculosis and Malaria), Sothebys will be holding (Auction) Red. The line-up of artists pretty much sums up our top ten list. Works by Damien Hirst, Banksy, Jeff Koons, Murakami, Gursky and Yinka Shonibare are included. The works will be on display at the Gogasian Gallery in New York from February 4th until February 14th. Sothebys will start its auction on February 14th.

The event has been organized by Bono of U2, Damien Hirst and Sothebys. Catalogues of the auction can be ordered now. After the jump we give you a look at some of the works that will be offered.

Seattle based Maiden Noir got together with Japanese shoe brand Cause to work on a sneaker. So far there are no release details on the sneaker, but expect these to drop some time this Spring/Summer 2008 season. A great east meets west collaboration. Via Complex.

One of our favorite brands, A.P.C., has now released their Spring 2008 collections both in store and also online. As usual nice knitwear, jackets and also accessories.

Oki-Ni has released the first part of their Spring 2008 collections. Raf Simmons has released some very interesting new sneakers and also in terms of t-shirts some great stuff dropped. Go and skip through the new collections to get an idea!

Yet another nice piece out of the Visvim Fall/Winter 2007/08 collection has been released - the Bickle Herringbone Jacket. The Bickle is a Gore-Tex M-65 jacket and comes in beige, brown and black in Herringbone and has several patches on it, just like the bag series that released earlier this season. The jacket is now available at the Honeyee Store.

Modern Menswear, available at Amazon, showcases the movers and shakers of mens fashion, including Marc Jacobs, Yohji Yamamoto, Vivienne Westwood and Hedi Slimane of Dior Homme, providing an insight into their design processes and their contribution to the contemporary fashion. As Amazon explans it, "Menswear has evolved from existing in niche markets to procuring mainstream acceptance. With consumers revelling in fashion and the associated lifestyle products, contemporary fashion design for men has become a beacon for masculine identity.Creating this focus is a group of visionaries who have shifted the boundaries of menswear design, designers who have broken with convention to visualize radical and directional clothing. Famed Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto has teamed up with UK footwear brand Dr Marten's for a second time. The latest project, a 1490 10 Eye boot, in two distinctive colorways. The collaboration takes a classic from the Dr Marten's lineup and adds a few subtle design twists. The first black with a white toe box and the second black with the famed cherry colorway. Each boot features high quality leather and Yamamoto's signature on the insole. This is one of those products you have to see in person to truly appreciate.

Organic launched last Spring with casual yet polished looks that could easily fit into any wardrobe. The fabrications are polished and include vegetable-tanned leather, whisper-soft cashmeres and organic wool, cotton and velvet. They even utilize recycled cotton. The modern take on classics done in muted shades definitely make an impression.

New accessories brand, güs, brings back some of the finer traditions of style - products that age with character and are built well enough to last for years. They use Italian vegetable-tanned leather and hand-stitched corners.

The Spring/Summer '08 collection, titled "Wild Beast", will be landing in stores in the next couple weeks. By no means are we stamp collectors and actually hardly ever use them, but just like with the recent James Bond edition by the Royalmail, we have to show you this Eames edition by USPS. This upcoming summer 2008, USPS will be releasing 16 stamps honoring Charles and Ray Eames. We'll be buying stamps again soon!

Next week the doors open again for the 7th (we think so, at least) Rendez-Vous Homme fair in Paris. It's always very exciting. More updates on the show and the brands very soon. Should you be able to make it to Paris, it's definitely worth it!

Here a little something for all Karl Lagerfeld fans out there. Pixi just released the Karl Lagerfeld lead figurine. It shows the designer/artist while working on a movie set. The figurine is limited to 1'000 copies and is now available in the Colette online store!

Last year Prada started the designer phone movement with their LG touchscreen phone. In the mean time Armani has also come out with their own phone. Now Prada presents the next version, this time in sliver. 18 European countries including the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy will see the new version of LG's touchscreen later this month. Besides the color change the phone now features a proper on-screen QWERTY, not just T9, which is quite the relief. As good as the phone looked from the start, in terms of user friendliness it was just not up there and considering the price it should be. Via Engadget.
