Continuing his penchant for artist/fashion collaborations, Marc Jacobs is featured on this month's Interview cover as Andy Warhol. The magazine was founded by Warhol and this month marks the artist's 80th anniversary.

WWD has reported that the fashion designer was shot by Mikael Jansson after Todd Eberle spotted him at a party and told Interview's Glenn O'Brien "Gee, Marc Jacobs is the new Andy Warhol." WWD tells of how Marc was told of similarities between himself and Warhol but claims "Warhol is Warhol. He's practically a god. I thought, 'I'm going to get a lot of hell for this." Via WWD

"The French fashion company Hermès recently teamed up with Eurocopter, the world's third largest aerospace group to create L'Helicoptre par Hermès, a luxury helicopter. The new helicopter was first unveiled at the National Business Aviation Association's 2007 conference in Atlanta, after years in the making and months of intense preparation." Designboon has the scoop on the newly unveiled Esquire 75th Anniversary celebratorycovers, as shown in Milan. "esquire recently asked some of the world's most influential fashion designers to recreate some of the magazine's most iconic covers. the project was initiated to celebrate the magazine's 75 anniversary. all of the works, with the exception of one, are based of covers conceived by esquire's long time art director george lois. in his career with the magazine, he helped create 92 covers. a show featuring highlights from his career is currently on show at new york's museum of modern art."

Bonhams NY is auctioning off what could be a one of a kind Tiffany's item. This fixed gear Tiffany's bike was built sometime during the 1890's and sports what are essentially the same components found on modern day fixed gears: Brooks Saddle, a hand brake,and fixed rear cog. What is simply outstanding on this bike is the lugging which needs to be seen to believe. Pre-auction estimates put the Tiffany's fixed gear somewhere in the neighborhood of 50k-70k$US. Head Porter is set to release a collection using a Louis Vuitton-esque monogram, which is nothing new from them, but this time they are applying it to translucent vinyl bags. Classic bags with a twist.
