After previewing the re-emergence of the B.D. Baggies line back in June, we can now bring some positive previews of the coming spring/summer 2009 collection to your screens. With the addition of designer David Mullen to the mix, WP Lavori in Corso relaunches B.D. Baggies as an entirely 100% Made in the USA collection. "The collection develops original styles, innovative fabrics and designs and a new wearability that is offered in 3 new lines of shirts for men'- B.D. Classic button down, B.D. Foundry workwear, and B.D. Study, "A collection created in end  on end and indigo fabrics and characterized by single top-stitching and contrasting thread emphasizing the refinement of the product. "

Expect the line to land in Europe, Japan, and (thankfully) the USA.

Another round of emerging American talent is about to get a boost from the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, which just announced its 10 finalists for this year’s edition. The fund was founded in 2003 by the Council of Fashion Designers of America and Vogue magazine, and offers emerging talents a $200,000 cash prize and mentorship programs by industry leaders. The finalists, who were revealed on Tuesday, are Richard Chai; Jason Wu; Alexander Wang; Irene Neuwirth; Albertus Q. Swanepoel of Albertus Quartus; Alejandro Ingelmo; Juan Carlos Obando; Lisa Mayock; Sophie Buhai of Vena Cava; Swaim and Christina Hutson of Obedient Sons & Daughters and John Patrick of Organic (both pictured above and available at NewDandyism). Hedi Slimane is contemplating a return to fashion, according to DNR news. When asked about his desire to rejoin the fashion the world he answered "Of course, But it has to be right--the right project". Little else is known about the label, except that it will more than likely be under his own name. In his spare time, Slimane has returned to photography, which was something has been interested in since he was a child. The result of this is Rock Diary, which is a photography book focusing on music fans at last year's Benicàssim. Via Brandish

Eurocarblog reports in on Ferrari's "One Off" Project. "The Ferrari “one-off” project has been revisited - a project that creates real and unique models. We had already seen that Ferrari was interested in launching new projects with the best international automobile signatures, and this news confirms the rumours... Chassis, engine and airbag will have to remain the same, while the rest can be exclusively designed and created, and all the materials will be delivered to the customer. No SUVs, station wagons or sedans are the only requests from the company"
