What I Saw Today
Fashion
I've been hearing about this website, What I Saw Today, everywhere and finally took a look. It's like the Satorialist but illustrated. Someone that goes by the name of "Designerman" sketches men he sees on the streets and subways of New York City. He has a way of capturing his subjects in a way that it feels like a fashion designer's journal. It's not as satisfying as the the Satorialist because that site is just as much about the surroundings and the moment as the clothes.
Robert Geller Spring/Summer 2009 Lookbook
Fashion
From the pages of their lookbook, comes some imagery from Robert Geller's Spring/Summer 2009 collection. As usual, Cultures In Between does a fantastic job of prefacing the collection. "New York based designer Robert Geller has stormed through the financial dark times and although this was not his initial conceptual cue his new collection for Spring/Summer 2009 embodies more of a personal celebration...His personal trip to Eastern Europe translated into a grey and monochromatic palette of linens, wool and leather. A breath of finely sharp masculine tailoring of dark washed denim pants, a black single breasted jacket and a linen striped jacket with cropped pants and unbuttoned cardigan provided an elongated yet slim silhouette."

Lee By Sammler Fall 2008
Fashion
The collaboration between classic denim brand Lee and Japanese brand Sammler continues this season, as they present capsule collection for Fall 2008. Inspired by classic Lee workwear pieces, the line includes pants, shirts, as well as a couple of jackets.
We love the use of the vintage labels on the collection and also the workwear details, while keeping at the same time a clean and modern look.

Schott NYC Vintage Cotton and Leather Racer
Fashion
Vintage is pouring out of the seams of this Schott NYC Cotton and Leather Racer Jacket. A great look which works well for the moto crowd as well as the club crowd. "A truly unique jacket, this lightweight men’s racer jacket is a new twist to the “glory days” with attention to every detail. The body is crafted from railroad striped 100% cotton with simulated oil stains that give it a perfectly worn-in look. The antiqued white leather sleeves are trimmed with red and blue leather stripes. Pocket welts, zipper pulls and the collar are also trimmed with leather. "

Levi's 505 "Made in the USA" Jeans
Fashion
I find this a crying shame. Why are only the best quality Levi's sold outside of the the United States? Sure, I can pick up some LVC denim, but that is also far and few between amongst a handful of retailers domestically. Bring U.S.A. made Levi's, such as this 505 Regular Fit "Made in the USA" model, available form the Levi's Japan Online Store to me, here in New England. I just want the options that the European and Asian market get. Levi's, please help. (via acl)
