We cannot really say that we have ever been big fans of UK's S***r shoes, but some collaborative efforts by the brand, including the ones with Fred Perry, Hummel or D.I.E. have attracted our attention and so does the recent work with Cassette Playa.

"The first two series of CP branded S***r shoes released over the course of 2008 with Playa 03 being the latest and the freshest ones. The collection is made around two shapes, a round flat, sneaker type and an aceed version of Jimmy Jazz shoe, which is basically an oxford classic on a 2 inch platform. Shofolk, the footwear extension of the Folk Clothing Company brings new models and silhouettes for fall/winter 2008 and 2009. With each pair handcrafted in Portugal and produced in short run quanities, Shofolk Footwear offers a great selection of unique looks for the disctinct individual.

Men.style.com gives us a preview of Gucci’s 2009 spring footwear collection. It reveals some new updated designs of their own Native American-inspired sneaker as well as some more conservative styles. Next year’s collection sees the high-top style updated with patent leather and skirt while other models include patent loafers and traditional lace-ups.

"In 2001, Alexandra Finlay set up Fin’s with a view to capturing a market for menswear that lies between the High Street and Bond Street." Ms. Finlay's George Summer Loafer for Men is made from soft suede leather and flat rubber sole. More appealing than the details are the variety of colors the George Summer Loafer is available in - 10 to be exact. We're loving the simplicity of this loafer.

After recently showing you the upcoming A.P.C. x Nike collaboration for Spring '09, we show you today some more footwear from their future collection. Boat shoes, solid leather oxford shoes in good colors make up the line. We would not expect anything else from the French brand. Via H(y)R Collective.

Exciting news coming from Italy. Slam Jam, distributor of Supreme, Gourmet, Visvim, Neighborhood and many other high end street brands introduces their own footwear brands - Be Positive.

They follow the trend started by such brands like Clae, Callous and others and take it a step further. In a first launch they are introducing the College Leather, Chukka Suede and Oxford Leather shoes. All three take inspiration from classics and give them a new modern make-over. The College Leather is especially interesting as that is a model that you do not come a cross from other contemporary brands. They give it a sporty white gum sole and it turns out to look pretty hot actually. The Chukka is a favorite from Vans, but the Be Positive version looks more casual and more elegant as well. The Oxford Leather inspired by the Budapest shoe also looks great and gives it a more sporty overall look. Image via Honeyee.

If we would have to complain, we'd actually prefer the mid sole to be clean and without logo, but we will be able to live with it.

This is definitely a footwear line to watch in the future. We will keep you posted!

Acne Jeans calls upon shoemaker Tretorn for their Spring/Summer 2008 footwear line. Acne and Tretorn worked together on a variety of lines including the Nylite line which updates the original sneaker from the 1960's as well as original Stroll line which comes in low and hightop form (and was also used for years as the official sneaker of the Chinese military). Available in choice colors now from Acne Jeans.
