New styles of UK footwear brand Double Identity have arrived at Seven New York. The brand is created by designer Johnny Siattalou, who is considered one of the most established designed in the UK.

We have to admit that we have been watching the brand for a while now, and most of the time their footwear aesthetic seemed too heavy to us, featuring chains, all-over prints and other details. But we like their latest range, which takes it back a little. Inspired by the Westwood Punk Era, the new footwear comes in better quality and concentrates on materials and stitching, rather than adding accessories on the upper.

We take a first look at the shoes of Jun Takashi's Undercover Fall/Winter 2008 "UnrealRealClothes" collection. 

Inspired by Vans, one of his favorite shoe brands, the designer created his very own version of them and released them this season in several colorways. Overall they come in four colorways, each featuring an all-over print, as well as the Undercover logo on the heel and on the inner sole.

Most interesting though is the black dress shoe, which comes with a large outdoor boot sole. We have to admit, these we would have to see live in order to make up our mind! Pics via MS Yaming.

Resistance teams up with Spring Court to produce two signature fabric B2 designed shoes for Fall/Winter 2008/2009. Using "tartan fabric uppers, gold eyelets and white laces, the fabric for the uppers is 75% wool, 10% Nylon, 10% Acetate and 5% Polyester." Find them now at oki-ni for 230$US.

Balenciaga has made a stunning comeback in recent years and they continue to impress. We have already showed you some styles of their upcoming Fall/Winter2008 collection, here now a look at their new Hi Top sneaker.

The sneaker comes in a mix of leather and mesh and sticks to the black and grey tones, making it a no-brainer. Quality, style, something special, yet without being too crazy.

Gram shoes got together with Danish knitwear brand S.N.S. The knitwear experts, known for their heavy winter knits, used for many years by fishermen, have produced laces for Gram, matching their latest range of jumpers.

"In the city of Herning on the Danish island of Jutland lies the knitting mill of S.N.S. Squeezed in between two giant flatbeds on the factory floor stands an old shoelace machine all but forgotten, this collaboration is the story of how it came back to life, and how 250 pairs of handmade wool laces came about. S.N.S. x gram laces will premier exclusively at Solo Norrmalmstorg in Stockholm from September, and later be available through selected stores worldwide for a limited time only. Price €13.99." Common Projects is another brand that we have become big fans of in recent years. It's probably one of the first brands betting on subtle, quality sneakers and since then we have seen a lot of followers. All their sneakers feature premium leathers and almost no branding. It's the type of shoe that looks nicer with age.

Blackbird now got their Fall 2008 shipment and offers a large selection of styles. The new Chukka is available in red and grey, and other favorites include the Shell Toe Low, which comes this season in a mix of leather and suede.

Japanese brand Number (N)ine presents as part of their Fall/Winter 2008 collection this hi top trainer, featuring a shearling lining. Here we got some trainers with serious style, perfect for the colder months. Also the details on the lace holes, that you usually find on hiking boots, make a great look.

In the 60s, when Mods were hanging out at Milk Bars, gingham shirts were a must for anybody who wanted to be part of the scene.

In their second collaboration, size? UK and Fred Perry pay homage to the iconic pattern, with a collection around the classic black/red and white/black colorways. For both color schemes there will be Tipped Cuff and Oxford models of footwear, along with a "Made In England" small collar polo.

The Oxford will include a gingham side quarter, while the tipped cuff will feature a gingham cuff and both will include a question mark logo lace lock. The polo will be finished with a gingham placket.

The limited edition size? x Fred Perry footwear and polo shirts will be released at size? stores in September '08.

Here is a fist look into Aprix's second season of footwear.

The second season for Aprix brings two new styles in addition to the original APR-001 Boating classic. The APR-002 Beach and APR-003 Deck shoe continue the theme of classic simplicity. The APR-002 is the first leather shoe for Aprix available in black, maroon, and sea green. The APR-003 is a traditional deck shoe available in Black, Blue or Red Cotton Oxford and retains the boat deck friendly gum rubber razor cut sole.

Some fantastic leather sneakers are coming once again this season from Italian brand Bottega Veneta. The brand is now celebrating a strong comeback since a couple of seasons and we don't see that changing any time soon.

Last season we presented you their beige suede slip-on. It comes back this season in suede and leather, in overall three colorways. They added another high top sneaker in brown to the line-up and a low top suede sneaker, that comes in bordeaux. The entire line-up looks great, and it almost looks like prices went down a little. The slip-on used to go for over 600 USD if we are not mistaken and now all sneakers are priced between 530 USD and 600 USD, which is still a pretty steep price - but you can be sure that the quality is outstanding and hard to get anywhere else.
