While in Portland, I noticed a very strange large bean like bag on the floor of one big shoe company’s offices. It has me intrigued. The big red tag on the thing said Sumo, so when I got home, I decided to hunt one down for a test ride.
The Sumo Omni is one dynamic seating device. Unlike an ordinary bean bag, the Sumo Omni is larger in proportion and can be configured for a variety of seating arrangements. In fact, I discovered that the Sumo was used in the lounge rooms of the POOL Trade Show in Las Vegas. If its good enough to lounge in Vegas, its good enough to lounge in the house. Did I mention that the nylon shell on the Sumo’s are cat proof? Big bonus for sure.

I’m quite sure Fatboy was the first introducing these huge beanbags that can be used in different ways (however in the 60’s there was already a designer who had the same idea)
