National Park Service architectural historian Chad Randl’s new book focuses on that subset of buildings that rotate. Revolving Architecture: The History of Buildings that Rotate, Swivel and Pivot is a cultural investigation of a unique building type. From rotating prisons (allowing the warden greater opportunity to watch his charges)to the glamorous notion of revolving restaurants, Randl covers the gamut.
