In honor of the centennial of his birth, Vitra Design Museum is mounting the firstmajor retrospective of the works of George Nelson. Trained at Yale, Nelson helped define thelook of American design in the latter half of the 20th century. His legacy lasts beyond objects, for he was captivated by all the inter-related issues of design. The exhibition opens on September 13 and will run until March 1, 2009.
