SLAM (St. Louis Museum of Art) assistant curator of drawings, prints and photographs Eric Lutz has organized a complementary exhibition to the touring Action/Abstraction. With a selection of nine photographs, Lutz explores the potential of abstraction in camera work. The works span the years 1940-1960 and were largely produced in association with the photography program at the Institute of Design Chicago.
Abstraction in American Photography remains on view until December 14, 2008.
