Now on view at the Whitney, Alexander Calder: The Paris Years, 1926-1933, surveys the sculptors formative years. During his stay in France, and over the 7 year period, Calder graduated from urban realist to “drawing in space.” The exhibition is on view in New York until February 15, 2009. Today’s Bee has a concise rundown of The Paris Years, while the Whitney’s website provides video and textual information about the show.
