We spoke on Han of Denmark back in September, but from what we can gather, they’re about to get a major push. The Timeless sunglasses which we spoke on drew comments and emails to Selectism asking for purchase info. To those, we again refer you to their retailer list on their website. In the meantime, check their aviator inspired Avantguard sunglasses and eyeglasses. So classic that our staff is now checking that retailers list as well. new models coming soon.

Seiko Power Design Project

Since 2002, Seiko’s Power Design Project features innovative new artists expressing their view of wristwatches. For 2008’s exhibit, the Design Project took a new approach. “Thinking about what would result if SEIKO itself was to try its hand at designing such industrial watches led us to the theme for this year – “TOKYO”.  Rather than the watch-like feel brought into Japan from Europe, the watches here are bound to give you a “Tokyo-like” feel. In Japan, a country whose strong point lies in its attention to detail in the creation of things, the watches here are bound to feel more familiar, somehow Japanese…Tokyo-ish.” (via tz)

Cheap Monday has always kept their mantra simple. “Offer the customer fashion at an extremely good price… by putting Cheap Monday alongside more expensive brands in good stores where we like to shop ourselves…” The look and vibe of the brand continues with their Autumn/Winter preview for 2009. Simple denim takes an aggressive approach with distressed and patchwork efforts. (photos: Kristian Löveborg)

brooks brothers black fleece Brooks Brothers Black Fleece Opens in NYC

Mr. Peskowitz over at men.style, report in on the opening of the New York City Brooks Brothers Black Fleece Flagship store. “Recession be damned, the first freestanding Black Fleece store is set to open this weekend—though in fairness, the store met with months of delays due to the landmark status of its West Village location. Inside, you’ll find exactly what you’d expect: the Thom Browne-designed Brooks Brothers offshoot’s entire spring collection, including (for gents) paisley pants, plaid shirts, and, of course, suits.”

Get the full scoop and some nice interior shots of the Brooks Brothers Black Fleece hideout at men.style.

adidas slvr spring summer 2009 front Selectism Exclusive | adidas SLVR Spring 2009 Lookbook

After previewing the new adidas SLVR Spring 2009 video last week, we now bring you detailed looks from the forthcoming collection via their lookbook. We’re very much excited for this new collection from adidas. The line is clearly more fashion driven but does not lose its connection to the adidas sportswear heritage. Overall the SLVR collection has a very modern Scandivanian feel to it. The subtle branding of the collection is a bonus and even though fashionable, the line looks very comfortable to wear.

We here at Selectism, were not sure what to expect from SLVR, but are very much impressed with the offering and the overall minimalist approach by adidas.

Many more detailed views from the adidas SLVR Spring 2009 Lookbook after the jump. As a special offering, you can also download the full Spring 2009 adidas SLVR lookbook exclusively Selectism.
