Partnering with the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction has mined the institutions vast archives to produce a great set of note cards. They draw from two distinct sets of material – the HSP Holiday collection for 2 cards and the Civil War archive for the remaining three. Included with the set are recycled craft envelopes. This is the first of a series of collaborative efforts between Art in the Age and the HSP all with the hope of providing a fresh perspective on the Society’s holdings.

Japanese bag manufacturers Hakkin.it are well known for their quality construction and they’ve also collaborated with Puma in the past. While the style of tne bag isn’t as popular as totes and shoppers are, they still look good. This bag is lightweight and durable, and could be used as an overnight bag although it’d be a tight fit, depending on how big your shoes are. Get it from Style Cruise.

thomas burberry collection Thomas Burberry diffusion line to shut down

The recession has forced companies to watch their like-for-like sale like it was a Hip-Hop album in its first week. This has ultimately lead to some cost cutting procedures as labels look to only keep profitable arms of their label. Drapers reports that Burberry is shutting down its diffusion line, Thomas Burberry. There’s no word on which collection will be its last but it can be assumed that S/S09 will be its last season.
