Produced by Australian architecture firm Wolveridge, this “Box Table” sticks to a tried and true shape and derives individual personality from cut-in details. This motorcycle is an authorized replica of a racing bike owned and used by Steve McQueen. Triumph TR6 engine and 35mm Cerlani forks make part of the build. Metisse will be producing 300 of these beauties which all come with a certificate of authenticity. (via Retro to Go).

We present you the latest footwear to come from Pierre Hardy. As part of his Spring/Summer 2009 collection, the designer presents his popular Hi Cut Sneaker in a range of new colorways. Overall it seems though the looks have become more subtle. When we saw last season still multiple strong colors on the sneaker, Pierre Hardy presents this season a more monotone range. More interesting than the Hi Cut Sneaker, we find the new Double Ring sneaker. It reminds us a little of the Common Projects Chukka, and features a double ring closing. It comes in two nice suede options this season.

Handmade ukuleles from Cocolo are the rage in the new Paul Smith SPACE in Tokyo. Each handmade ukulele for Paul Smith was designed by HIro Kawashima. Note the custom fret board, headstock, and bridge – all made special for Paul Smith. It may not be perfect for Rock Band, but you can pretend anyways.

Suzy Menkes over at IHT reports in on the start of Milan Fashion Week. Note the striking point from Ms. Menkes “Recession is in the air – and on the runways, where it seems that men can dress for the winter 2009/10 season in any colors, as long as they are shades of gray, black and white…But this calm after the wild years of gilded crocodile trench coats and lavender cashmere sweaters is not such a bad thing. Tomato UK is close to my heart. Their work with Underworld not only set a visual tone for the amazing electronic group but also opened my eyes to their stunning design work for the likes of Levis Japan, Citreon, Panasonic, and many others. They recently previewed sample views of their Spring 2009 sandal collaboration with Birkenstock. The classic Papirio is re-imagined with the Tomato love. The Birkenstock Papirio Sandals for Tomato will be available this Spring at Birkenstock’s Tokyo Daikanyama District Shop. (via core77)

Pushing forward into 2009, 3.1 Phillip Lim offers looks into their Spring 2009 Man collection. His third year in menswear, Mr. Lim brings looks that mix contemporary looks with a variety of soft hues. Trousers offer the most variety with slim fit high rise and straight leg looks that are at times over-length. Note the blues and greens in the collection.

British fashion designer, Joe Casely-Hayford  brings forth a new luxury menswear brand under the Casely-Hayford name. “The brand philosophy is based around the idea of what Casely-Hayford calls a ‘darkened aspiration’. Duality is at its core, combining English Heritage with British Anarchy and Savile Row tailoring methods with modern day sportswear.
