If, like everyone else, you fell in love with Junya Watanabe’s letterman jacket/blazer hybrid last year, you’re in luck. Browns have one of the jackets in their sale, although it’s only in a small. The styling’s a little off in the picture, but we assume you can ignore that and take the blazer on its own merits. Get it from Browns.

Dior Homme must have been listening to Biggie Smalls lately. They’ve been following his advice and moving in silence and violence (maybe not violence) and quietly opened an online store about 6 months ago. As they’re a fashion brand, they’re in love in flash and therefore I can’t link to any specific items. Their bag collection is by far their strongest point though, with shopper bags in canvas and patent leather, briefcases and a silver duffle bag. Check out the Dior Homme Boutique here.

There’s been a growing demand for classic styles of bags and accessories, with steel framed holdalls and schoolboy satchels making a comeback in menswear. So it’s only natural that a brand like Brady, an English brand which started in the 1870’s, would catch on and develop an online site. Brady originally started out making leather gun cases (which they still sell to this day) and eventually evolved into a full grown accessories line. Check out their site here.

Let’s put it bluntly, Stansfield just made good wears. If I was ever willing to part with my current parka, I would most likely look for a coat from them – especially this Car Coat. The fleece lined (polka dots at that) coat comes with a cowl neck trim and black leather buttons – simple details that remind us that classic is still very much cool. Writer Max Gustashaw and photographer Hatnim Lee profile Mexico City’s  Velódromo Agustín Melgar – the cycling stadium built for the 1968 Olympics – for Swindle Magazine. 

“Once a destination for record breakers in the 1970s and ’80s, the track has fallen into disrepair and random use—the grandstands are crumbling, the paint is peeling, and the hallways to the track flood in heavy rains. Along the outside cling the bleak offices of the delegation’s sporting programs and pay-to-use bathrooms. Today a big-top circus is planted out front, with two spider monkeys blocking access to the cyclists’ entryway. ‘It has its charm,’ one of the teenage girls concedes.”

Sweden’s Denim Demon takes two avenues of inspiration to arrive at a single point for their Spring/Summer 2009 collection. A passion for authentic workwear and denim is fused with an interest in native “Sami” culture. Key product from the collection includes a denim Kolt, which essentially mixes classic workwear materials with a traditional “Sami” garment. On the denim side, Denim Demon has produced the Ren-on-hide, a 15.5 oz unsanforized denim complete with reindeer hide patch. The jeans are based on a 1930s Lee cut with green, white and blue narrow selvedge. The colors (green, white and blue) follow “Sami” culture and are a constant in the collection. The Kolt and Ren-on-hide denim is complemented by a denim shirt and jacket and a new flannel shirt. Oi Polloi will be among the fine retailers to stock the collection. (via highsnobiety).

While catching up on some reading, Openers reminds us that we need to take a run to the fragrance department and sniff out the latest fragrance from Christian Dior, Dior Homme Sport. I would avoid looking for clues of any sort on their website as to what you’ll be getting out of this bottle seeing as the United States site looks like a rough draft of a finished product. Otherwise, head over to Sephora if you can bear it, Mr. Man.

From the looks of the image and “message” you could assume that this is a piece of new art – maybe stencil white on black canvas. The truth is that it is a simple (or not so simple) beach towel from Raf Simons with a very open ended message: “there is a crack in everything that’s how the light gets in”. It’s part of the Raf Simon’s Spring/Summer 2009 Accessories collection.

I’m struggling with having this message on a beach towel, as the only crack I can relate to it, is the finer side of a human laying on it. Get it now for 125€ (173$US) from Colette.

We previewed the Won Hundred Spring/Summer 2009 back in August but the lookbook always gives a much fuller view. The Danish label continues to work on the basics in the collection with wears that work on a variety of builds.
