Why we did not feature this set of looks from the runway of Comme des Garçons Homme Plus Spring/Summer 2009 is beyond me but we’ll make up for it by not activating the usual one post per month CdG ration (just kidding). The expected conceptual looks offer inspiration that will be seen throughout collections for seasons to come. Always on the edge, always Comme des Garçons Homme Plus. (via gqstyle)

outlier 4seasondry flat waist 540x358 Outlier | January Experimental Drop

This month’s experimental drop from “Tailored Performance” specialists Outlier features two variations on their OG 4 Seasons trouser. The first incorporates Schoeller 3xDry treatment to amplify the wicking and breathing potential of the fabric. This version comes in black. For the second, they’ve incorporated a fleece backing to the pant making it a touch warmer and a little softer. With variation #2 a dark grey is the color option.

Subtle, but well thought out, flips on the original. Full view of the OG Four Seasons trouser after the jump.

Openers JP reports in on these two very limited edition versions of the famous Audemars Piguet “Royal Oak Offshore” Chronographs. Both chronographs feature 42mm casings with red facings but they differ in a few respects to the normal “Royal Oak Offershore” chronos – check the face to see what we’re talking about. Choose between a limited run of 20 encrusted in diamonds and a 200 run edition which is not so grand but still killer Audemars Piguet. More views after the jump.

Following up on the video interview with Kim Jones we featured earlier comes imagery from the first runway show by Kim Jones for Dunhill Autumn 2009. The collection harks back to the early days of Alfred Dunhill, with it’s long legacy and heritage. The looks are very traditional with a modern take on what Alfred Dunhill would be about. curated mag - Karim Rashid Snap Back Chair

While Rashid’s work doesn’t necessarily always inspire, his design rarely fails in provoking a response. Working with Belgian Feek, Rashid has produced a two-part seat that snaps together. The result has a playful mix and match quality. As an added plus, the chair is made of 99% recyclable components. (Via Dezeen).

Fendi Trunk Desk with Roll-out Chair

This is a banger. We could have only pulled this from Nigo, the headmaster of Japan’s The Bathing Ape clothing line. He recently blogged about visiting the Fendi factory and discovering this very baller Fendi trunk that doubles as a desk. What is most fascinating is the rollout safebox in the middle of the trunk that doubles as a chair. That’s serious.

Suzy Menkes also hit up Thom Browne and Moncler CEO Remo Ruffini. The presentation of the new Thom Browne designed Moncler Gamme Bleu line just recently took place in Milan on fake snow. The video certainly shows much better all aspects of this very interesting new collaboration.

As part of their Spring preview, Steven Alan have introduced these floral ties using Liberty of London’s famous floral patterns. It’s been said that this year is the one where floral patterns come to forefront, but that’s been said before and it never happens – usually because most floral patterns are too harsh. These floral patterns aren’t as overpowering as other patterns and therefore have a better chance of fitting in with your wardrobe. Pre-order it from Steven Alan.
