‘Keep Calm and Carry On’ Tote Bag

pedlars tote bag Keep Calm and Carry On Tote Bag

We barely mention the recession here – there are enough places you can go if you want ‘reccessionista’ talk – but this tote bag couldn’t be more appropriate for this year. It’s available in red and blue and also has a Velcro closing, so you can protect whatever’s in your bag should it start to rain (that might sound obvious, but you’d be surprised at the amount of totes that have no way of keeping them closed). Get it from Pedlars.

These hat lampshades are part of Hidden Art’s select range and are cheekily called Jeeves and Wooster. The websites blurb states that the lights are “suitable for any aspiring gentleman or conscientious manservant where class and sophistication are the essential components to illumination.”

The Jeeves bowler hat is lined with a gold interior, whilst the Wooster top hat is lined with a silver interior. They’re also priced relatively cheaply for such unique pieces. Get it from Hidden Art.

The mothership reports in on the new Junya Watanabe “ready to wear” collection for Fall 2009.

Junya Watanabe has been one of our favorite designers in years now. His mix of traditional workwear and up to date fabrics and colors was always appealing to us. Here we take a first look at the Junya Watanabe MAN Fall 2009 Collection and once again we cannot wait for winter to come.

The hunting theme is apparent and a lot of traditional British jackets also appear in the collection. Of course always with that special Watanabe touch. Overall the line looks really smart and sophisticated, but it seems to be a line that is also easy to wear and to relate to. (via WWD).
