The Brit Insurance Design Awards have opened at London’s Design Museum. Included are some obvious bits – like Shepard Fairey’s Obama portrait – and a few surprises. One inclusion that really excites are the hand built wooden radios by Singgih S. Karano. Category winners are officially announced in two weeks, with the prizes handed out on March 18, 2009.
