For those following the ups and down of the economic crisis we’re in today, you may have read the very revealing article on Los Angeles based Five Four Clothing in the WSJ a few weeks back. We took away a few points from story. 1. the economy is touching everyone and 2. do everything you can to help out your supply and retail chains. The latter being the most important as the spiral will not stop unless everyone does their part to work towards a solution. We may commend Five Four on working hard to refocus their business from production to pricing, but at the end of the day, the strength is in the design of their garments.

Dig into these view of their Spring/Summer 2009 collection. It’s menswear that transitions nicely from the streets to the office at a friendly price-point.
