An alternative to the ever popular CdG zipper wallets, are these fine wallets from the UK’s Von Sono. Made from fine Nappa leather, the Von Sono wallets are available in black, silver, and a flesh tan leather. We’re not sold on the silver, but we can imagine some parties will be curious. Sometimes simpler is better. These Balenciaga trainers haven’t got any fancy embellishments (apart from the fact that they’re silver) and it’s all the better for it. The leather is pleated and has a slightly worn-in look to it, making them as understated as a pair of silver shoes could ever be. Get them from Browns.

After Scott Sternberg’s and Tom Ford’s controversial rules of style, you can forgive Details for getting a much softer set of rules this month. Donna Karan’s rules revolve around romace, spirituality and hating men who blindly follow trends.

As menswear goes from strength to strength, the demand for more looks grows – hence the need for pre-collections. Like most pre-collections, Acne’s collection acts as a pre-cursor to the main collection, using the same aesthetic. They’ve also released pictures of their Pop classics AW09 collection, pictures of which are available after the jump.

Some great bags are coming from 3.1 Phillip Lim this season. Our favorites are the new Johnny Leather Tote, which comes with two large exterior pockets, in navy and light brown, and the excellent Phyll Document Attache in envelope form. The leather is of superb quality and looks like it will only get nicer with use.

The March issues of Creative Review drops tomorrow, February 18. The issue has features with LA’s Self Help Graphics and Art and an article on Harry Beck’s design for metro Paris in the late 1930s. They’ve also solicited some Advertising big whigs for predictions on who will win this years big prizes in the field.

The result is different every time, and reminiscent of the floats you may have chilled in the pool with as a child. Certainly not to every taste, but no doubt an intriguing bit of furnishing. As a fragrance alone, CK One would probably not be a something we would feature here, but Calvin Klein re-packaged the product into an interesting casement.
