“The Humen Laundry Service” is the title given to the Autumn/Winter 2009 Collection from Henrik Vibskov. Mixing the conceptual with what we see as ready to wear fashions, Vibskov continues to design on a level and in a universe unlike most.

I have just about discovered the mecca of all things travel and music. Pinel & Pinel, the current kings of modern day luxury and bespoke trunks are simply killing it with their 24 drawer Soprano Music Trunk. A true mobile soundsystem, the Soprano Trunk is outfitted with a Bang & Olufson Beosound 3200 Soundsystem with two BeoLab3 speakers – more of a lifestyle choice by Pinel & Pinel, than a high-end one, but I will not be nit-picky.

The Soprano Trunk is made from wood and leather and finished with a brass shell that is available in more than 50 colors. It holds 480 CDs which should hold you musically for a few days. Selectism approved! (if we actually started using that term).

More looks from the Compass Show in Las Vegas last week. This round we bring a preview look at the men’s footwear lineup from Rachel Comey’s Autumn/Winter 2009 collection. Her men’s footwear collection is only a few collections old now, but markings it’s territory quickly. Our favorite from Comey is the high monk strap boot with it’s worn leather and white outsole. New York Magazine has a nice interview with the man who, for better or worse, changed the whole suit game back in the 80’s. Armani’s suits (which were first featured in American Gigolo) led to an entire generation of people wearing their suits loose and it took Hedi Slimane to make Slim fit fashionable again. The interview asks him about his importance within menswear, suiting up Chelsea FC and his home line, Armani Casa.

We featured these motorcycle helmets a while back now, but as they’re available in Moschino’s online store now we thought we’d take another look. Moschino’s online store only opened recently and as of now, the men’s side is pretty threadbare – although as their men’s collection isn’t much to write home about, it’s not much of a loss. Get the helmets from Moschino.

Swedish brand Resterods have released their AW09 lookbook and if you’ve ever wanted to mix classic American and French styles, this is the collection for you. The blurb on Resterod’s site states that the:

“AW 09 collection is a blend of the American working class hero and the French bohemian activist of the late sixties. The collection encourages [the wearer] to walk the talk, engage and participate.”

Chris Liu and Tibor Matyas are the minds behind London’s up and coming fashion brand Chris & Tibor. “The concept and inspiration of the label comes from London with its exciting mix of history, style and the futuristic modernity of the adjoining City.” For Autumn/Winter 2009, the line takes inspiration in the form of “The Krays meet Teddy Boys” pulling from the history of boxing twins Reggie and Ronnie Kray who turned into some of London’s most notorious thugs in the late 50’s. Look for dotted leather, oiled bird feather fabrics on totes, and much more.

R29 comes through with looks from the Suprr Autumn/Winter 2009 Show during NYFW. “Either way you slice it, the momentum is picking up and Spurr’s fall 2009 collection is a testament to the tightening of the label beyond the revamped logo. Inspired by Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey, the collection offered sharp masculine lines cut from traditional men’s fabrics like twill, gingham, and double-faced cotton.” Read the full write-up at Refinery 29.

Sarah Wigglesworth Architects have designed and built a new storage facility to house up to 76 bicycles in Bermondsey, London. The structure is part of the redevelopment of Bermondsey Square. Bikes will be stored using a double decker system devised by Josta. (via Dezeen).
