Ionut Predescu’s Wire Bike proposes replacing a fully tubed frame with some kevlar wire. The tensil strength of the wire is leveraged against the compression strength of two carbon tubes. The result? A lighter bike, and an interesting experiment. Got to wonder how it rides… (via Yanko Design).

The usual span on denim was present from the French line as well as a “mack” inspired long coat, floral shirts, and this interesting flannel tote bag (above). Cleveland’s own, Wrath Arcane, showcased their Autumn/Winter 2009 collection last week in Las Vegas. The wax cotton jacket in blue is a standout as well as the draped collar cardigan. But on the accessories side, we were intrigued by their form foam bowler and military styled caps as well as their waxed cotton bag and hooded scarves. How about footwear? Yep. Ms. Sevigny turns he attention for her second Opening Ceremony collection to include the boys, men, and even girls. As noted by style.com, “The result: androgyny with an indie/preppy slant. Sevigny’s second collaboration with Opening Ceremony is a menswear collection that also comes scaled down to fit girls. The low-key mish-mash of moleskin pants, wool bombers (with matching backpacks), Fair Isles, long johns, oversize leopard and tiger knits, and other retooled Brit street-tribe and American classics were being worn by a group of friends and street-cast locals who mooched around at the Double Club in London.”

Real Real Genuine’s spring offerings are beginning to appear online. They’ve started with the basics – a lightweight crew neck and a sampling of new t-shirts. The crew follows the Tribes 2 t-shirt, with heavy transfer “REAL” block lettering on either grey marl, slate blue or white. The sweatshirt is constructed with a one piece method, which removes the seams from the shoulder and arm. This technique has also been adapted for a t-shirt this spring, the Dennis. The shirt features subtle wrap graphics supplied by New York’s DeScript Design.
