Here is a nice take on a mechanic’s jacket from Operations. This waist high, fitted jacket is fashioned with large front angled pockets, and finished with a green liner (proper for St. Patrick). The mustard color finishes the jacket off well. Find it at Tobi for the nice price of 484$US – a price that sounds like a sampler.

Spring denim shorts make a return from Nom de Guerre. In shads of mustard (a trend today on the site) and grey, they are rugged choices for day wear and appear low key. We prefer them to cut off blue denim. That’s for sure. Available now from Gravity Pope.

Paper thin leather is how they describe the Porte Monnaie wallets. The minimal styled fold-up wallets are made from russet leather which gives them a very thin quality. We should add that they are also hand made in London. Those searching for the thinnest possible back pocket accessory may consider the Port Monnaie line. Available now from Oki-ni.

jil sander uniqlo Jil Sander to Design for Uniqlo

News arrived last night of the re-emergence of Jil Sander into the fashion world. The designer has signed with Japan’s Uniqlo to oversee their main fashion ranges. This is her first work in the industry since 2004 after leaving her namesake label due to management issues with Prada. We’re excited to see the outcome and applaud Uniqlo’s continuing effort to collaborate with high fashion designers. (photo: ap)
