The Elephant Lounge Chair by Mediodesign pays homage to two iconic works by Charles and Ray Eames. Both the LCW Molded Plywood Chair and the Sculptural Elephant are invoked in the new work. Mediodesign has worked with birch plywood. (via Dezeen).

News arrived last night of the re-emergence of Jil Sander into the fashion world. The designer has signed with Japan’s Uniqlo to oversee their main fashion ranges. This is her first work in the industry since 2004 after leaving her namesake label due to management issues with Prada.
