Wood Wood Broken Heart Print Shirt

wood wood print shirt Wood Wood Broken Heart Print Shirt

We first saw this shirt in Wood Wood’s SS09 runway show but now it’s in stores, we can give it a proper look. It looks like everyone’s got bored of checks now, as designers are increasingly using polka dot designs to give their shirts that extra edge. Wood Wood have taken the polka dot design and added their own twist to it with broken hearts instead of the usual plain old dots. Perfect for anyone going through their own 808’s and Heartbreaks (sorry, couldn’t resist that one). Get it from Farfetch.

esperdy 1 Less is More Again A Manifesto

Design Observer guest poster Gabrielle Esperdy stirs it up with her “Less is More Again – A Manifesto.” She suggests that it is time to give design a rest, at least for a period of time. Her words might resonate with some. Or, might strike as completely off the wall. Either way, worth a gander.

Carin Wester Spring/Summer 2009

Carin Wester’s Spring/Summer 2009 collection reminds me of Blur’s “Boys & Girls.” The drapery in the collection is almost more than what some would consider street ready. Even more so is the concern that the looks are made for the taller among us and borrow heavily from the other side of fashion. Wester’s Autumn collection follows the same lead, but could be described as a bit subdued. We present Spring/Summer here for review.  (via fashionisto)

Qantas Sydney First Lounge

qantas sydney front Qantas Sydney First Lounge

What do you want prior to a long haul flight? A nice meal? A good bar? A spa treatment? All of these, and more, are possible at the Qantas Sydney First Lounge. The design is handled by Marc Newson, who has worked to create an international standard for pre-flight comfort. If the amenities don’t sooth, views over Sydney Harbor just might. (via ArchDaily).

Much nicer than the first class lounge in Dublin which only offers large amounts of stout, small packets of crisps, and black and white tv. (Just kidding, it was color).
