The second cap from Outlier is again a collaborative effort with Victor Osborn. Having worked with wool for winter, this time the chosen fabric is waxed canvas. Wind proof, water proof, sturdy. And, as with all waxed cotton, built to age quite nicely. Black, tan, olive and navy are all available.

There’s room in this world for another zipper wallet. Sure, you may be fashionable and catch the eye of the Japanophile with that colorful CdG wallet but let’s get serious – not everyone needs one. So look around for something to make you unique. Here’s a start - Property of… Jackson Tri Wallet. Simple in leather and half the price of the latter. Trust me, I love CdG, but carrying their wallets solo doesn’t make you cool. Be yourself. You can get this and the CdG at Blackbird or other fine retailers.

We don’t usually make predictions, but we’re going to stick our neck out and say that Duffels will be big next season. This is purely by default though, as every other classic coat has already been brought back. This Ralph Lauren Rugby duffel is exactly the style that we like – slimmed down, contrast colour toggles and a nicely sized hood. Get it from the Rugby store.

Inhabitant drops images of the new Mercedes hybrid vehicle which looks a lot like something out of Back to the Future 3. “In what is clearly an attention-grabbing move, Daimler today has just unveiled the F-CELL Roadster, a wacky-looking vehicle that is a ‘hybrid’ in more ways than one. Literally the roadster is fitted with a 1.2 kW hybrid drive – one that allows the F-CELL to reach a top speed of 15 mph and achieve an operating range of 217 miles.”
