Jessica Lack of the Guardian does a tremendous job with her artist of the week column. Though the chosen highlight might not always resonate, her simple descriptions are a valuable way of introducing large numbers of readers to new artists. This week, she’s chosen Emma Talbot whose haunting work is now on view at Gallery North, Northumbria University. The example above, Haunted House (2008) is a little easier to check out.
