damir doma paris store Damir Doma opens store in Paris

Dazed Digital puts us onto the news that Damir Doma has recently opened a store in Paris. The label has been steadily growing for a while now, so it’s no surprise that they’ve recently made the leap to their own store. Like most flagship stores it also operates as a display of the company philosphy and approach to clothing. The store is located at 6 rue des Arquebusiers, 75003 Paris.

Take a look at more pictures of the store after the jump.

White shoes are always difficult to pull off and because of that, most people have just given up on them. This season we’re seeing more wearable white shoes than ever and the main reason for this is the contrast wooden soles. The best feature of these shoes is that they don’t have a brogue-ing detail on the toe cap, giving it a clean feel that some other white shoes lack. Get it from Farfetch.

Take a look at detailed shots after the jump.

We love the Y’s Mandarina bag collection here at Selectism and are even happier to see retailers getting their stock of Spring/Summer bags. Blackbird has a couple of the Big Duffles. “They are extremely versatile, comfortable to wear and quite unique. Each one is equipped with various internal pockets as well as expandable compartments.” They may have an online sale embargo as they’re not listed in the online shop, but if you call them, I am sure they’ll help you out.

LOVE Magazine brings us some of the first looks at the Rem Koolhaus designed Prada Transformer in Seoul. “These are the first images of the (very) recently completed Prada Transformer art space in Seoul. The project consists of a temporary building masterminded by Rem Koolhuas that incorporates the four sides of a Tetetrahedron: a hexagon, a cross, a rectangle and a circle, and the whole thing is covered by a big stretchy elastic membrane. Over the course of the next few months the building will house a programme of exhibitions and cultural events, including Miuccia Prada’s Waist Down exhibition…”

01. Record Store Day is Tomorrow!

There is no better time to go support your local independent record store than tomorrow, on Record Store Day. Look for special releases for the event, like a new Springsteen 7″ and a Sonic Youth/Beck split 7.” Buy music! (Record Store Day)

02. Photographer Shawn Mortensen 1966—2009

“It is truly with a heavy heart that we must break the news that one of Supertouch’s dear friends, photographer Shawn Mortensen, passed away last nite. A kinetic force of optimism and seemingly limitless positive energy, Shawn’s hearty career as a photojournalist and artist took him around the world several times over” (Supertouch)

03. Amber Rose Bares Her Rump in Kanye’s Louis Vuitton Sneaker Campaign

“At last the day is upon us! Kanye West’s ad campaign for his range of Louis Vuitton sneakers has leaked, which means we are one day closer to being able to purchase the kicks in stores.” (NY Mag)

04. Pentimento House / Jose María Sáez & David Barragán

“An architecture to be naked to connect with their surroundings. Built with a single piece of prefabricated concrete, which can be placed in four different ways (assembly) which solves structure, wall, furniture, ladders, even a garden facade that is the origin of the project.” (Arch Daily)

05. Heidiskis Handmade Wood Core Skis

“A few weeks ago the CH team sadly took our last run down the slopes for the winter at the secluded mountain of Sugarbush Vermont. The fact that it was our last trip was only brightened by the fact that we got to try the new, all wood core, handmade Heidiskis from Austria.” (Cool Hunting)
