For months, Jeff’s cat has been begging for some more stylish furnishings to call his own. During those same months, Jeff has been begging the cat to keep its pesky claws off his fancy new sofa. With Everyday Studio, they can both win. The studio produces napping and scratching posts from double corrugated cardboard. They are highly influenced by Frank Gehry. (via Dwell).

Japanese designer, Gentaro Noda, brings a certain British style to the young HEATH fashion house. He has reason to. The designer was raised in the UK and graduated from St. Martins’ School. He returned to Japan in 2003 and began his rise in the fashion world designing for Iliad. We expect great things from HEATH. (photos:LTS)

post overalls factory tour 01 ACL | The Post O’Alls Factory Tour

M. Williams (aka ACL) loves to visit factories in the same way that some people love hitting rock concerts. He recently visited the Post O’Alls Factory on one of their slow days. “The day I visited the factory Post had just wrapped up a huge production run which explains why many people are not pictured sewing  in these photos. It is also the reason that the factory looks a slightly more disheveled. I personally love the POST O’ALLS collection, so it was a treat to see everything being made. Most of the goods are sold in Japan, but you can buy POST in New York at Barneys and Steven Alan.”

We previewed the Spring/Summer 2009 collection from Velour not too long ago and now stock is starting to trickle into your favorite boutiques. OAK NY has received the Velour collection and one of our favorite pieces is the navy Julian jacket. The lightweight zip-up is perfect for the cool breeze of the Spring. The button up front (rather than the zipper) is a great look.

Dior Homme have recently put up pictures of two of their accessories collections, names ‘angles’ and ‘triangles’ respectively. The collection itself is pretty self explanatory, but there are some interesting pieces amongst the usual array of wallets and holdalls. The brooch for example (pictured above) would be an interesting, if expensive, way of adding the finishing touches to an outfit. Check out the rest of the collection after the jump.

One of the emerging trends that’s sure to take hold this winter is the re-emergence of toggles. Whether in coats, hoodies or cardigans, the old school button is seeing a revival. This Journal Standard cardigan is another piece that you’ll have to get your proxy on for but maybe some shop owners are looking at this and thinking of bringing the label to the Western hemisphere? We’re not fans of the belt, but apart from that it’s near perfect. Get it from Style Cruise.

It seems every beverage company has an artist edition bottle these days. Most rely on heavy graphic emphasis, but the Jean-Paul Gaultier Evian Collection privileges the purity of the contained water. Produced with Baccarat, there are 5 bottles, each riffing off the same base bottle. These have been exhibited at Colette and were auctioned for charity last week. (via Daily Icon).

Opening Ceremony Knitted Blazer

opening ceremony knitted blazer Opening Ceremony Knitted Blazer

The problem with clothing sites as they get too big is that they can get confusing to navigate. Just ask Yoox. ASOS have recently added a designer section to their site to differentiate labels like Acne from stuff like Franklin & Marshall. The problem now they can’t seem to decide what labels count as designer and what doesn’t, hence why this Opening Ceremony blazer isn’t in the designer section whilst labels like Pringle are.

That aside, this knitted blazer is a great piece and it’s one that isn’t even available on the Opening Ceremony site. Get this from ASOS.
