When you have a god thing going, you simply update the color way. Moscot give two of their most popular frames – The Nebb and the Lemtosh the treatment in “Brown Crystal Fade” for the season. The classic frames “compliment any face as they fade from brown.” We like. (secret forts)

Centre Pompidou, Metz

Wallpaper* has produced a video about the new Pompidou Centre in Metz. This is the first decentralization of a major French cultural institution, and the location has been chosen in part due to lack of major cultural resource in the area. Additionally, the city is advantageously located to attract visitors from neighboring nations.

duhill fighter plane cufflinks Dunhill Limited Edition Fighter Provenance Cufflinks

Dunhill pushes forward with a nod to the fighter pilots of WWII England. “The Fighter Provenance Cufflinks are impressively crafted from the original aluminium engine casing taken from a British World War II fighter plane. Depicting the aircraft from which they originated, the Fighters continue the successful Alfred Dunhill Provenance collection of rare designs constructed from components of iconic machinery.” Very nicely done in an edition of 250.

CWITCH Coffee and the H Van

cwitch coffee company CWITCH Coffee and the H Van

Selectism Columnist Steve Monaghan comes through with an interesting look at CWITCH Coffee Company that rides around London in their proper H Van selling beans to the masses. The story really comes at two angles – the story of the man who quit his day job to sell coffee and biscuits as well as the restoration of the classic H Van. “The H van was intoduced after the Second World War as France needed a van to get its goods moving again. The basic idea was to provide a ‘walk through’ interior with a low loading floor, easy access from the side through a sliding door and a wide, versatile rear entry”

Get the full details on the CWITCH Coffee at Steve’s Column.

Der Sammler Solo Printed Holdall Bags

der sammler tote 01 Der Sammler Solo Printed Holdall Bags

Two great print pattern holdalls from Der Sammler that we can only hope will be acceptable to the domestic US market. The prints are lively with their star and stripe look. If i was to challenge the red/white/blue vs. grey tones pattern, the latter would win, except on Memorial Day and the Forth of July. Get the now from Oki-ni.

arne carlos spring 2009 01 Q&A With Carlos of Arne & Carlos

Arne & Carlos have acheived a great deal in short time. At least, that was the perception – when their AW08 collection came out of nowhere and gathered a lot of press attention. Looks can be deceiving however, as the duo have been around for a while putting the work in. We caught up with half of the Arne & Carlos duo, Carlos Zachrison and quizzed him about the brands surge in popularity, growing too big and plans for the future. We also managed to snag some pictures of the SS09 collection, which will be available from Tres Bien soon. Check out the Q&A after the jump.

Globe Trotter Surf Rider Collection

globe trotter surf rider collection 01 Globe Trotter Surf Rider Collection

Globe Trotter’s luggage design is something of a classic -  remaining unchanged since the company was first established in 1897. So it’s only natural that the company would seek to change things up a little by changing linings, colours and straps. This limited edition ‘Surf Rider’ collection features Hawaiian shirt print lining along the inside. Thankfully this is as far as the print goes, giving the collection a playfullness but staying away from pastiche.

Check the rest of the collection after the jump.
