bookclub fall winter 2009 01 540x350 Book Club Autumn/Winter 2009

“The Autumn/Winter 2009 collection is the first from BOOK CLUB – a new fashion label from down under.Serge Bodulovic (24) and Simon Gibson (22) are the designer duo behind and met at Australian National University. Both studied arts and commerce with an addiction to fashion. In the past they designed t-shirts, but now it was time for a full collection…The Autumn/Winter 2009 collection looks very simple and understated but has a few finer details like dog-ear pockets and leather trimmed pockets on the jumpers and jeans.” (via coutequecoute)

clearaudio statement turntable The Worlds Most Expensive Turntables

Who would have thought that a supposed “dead format” would have players that reached into the stratosphere in pricing! NYLVI presents an array of record players that break the 10,000$US mark. Take the Clearaudio Statement checking in at a whopping 125,000$US! “This fellow, made of wood and aluminum, weights in at 770-pound and has a magnetically driven sub platter that eliminates contact with the main platter and a nifty real time speed control.”

The BBlessing Spring collection pulls influence from the mysteries of the forests. “For their spring collection, BBlessing was inspired by the story of DB Cooper, his tales of hijacking, and his mysterious disappearance over the forests of western Washington. The collection takes into account what is known and makes inferences into what could have happened. This makes for a noble exploration of adventure and aviation related silhouttes and shapes.” (Fashionisto)
