With all the heritage shoe hype going to Grenson, Church’s and Trickers, it’s easy to forget that Loake have just as much heritage as the aforementioned brands. We featured this in our post on COS’s SS09 collection but we feel this piece deserves a closer look. Of all the lightweight jackets we’ve seen this season, this coat is the best in terms of fit and value. This coat avoids the boxy fit that COS have been doing lately, which is a bit of a love/hate kind of fit for many people. Value-wise, it costs £129 and is infinitely better than say, a similar coat at Topman priced at around £80. Again, like all COS pieces, you can’t get it online, so you’ll have to hunt out a store to get it from.

As I prep for my ride to the docks to watching the end of the Boston leg of the Volvo Ocean race, I wish I could substitute this white t-shirt for Rapha’s Swift Jersey. It just looks great and is perfect cycling wear for the 80-90F weather we’re experiencing in the Northeast of the USA today.
