While we love a classic, we also appreciate that you might need to mix it up ever so often. There’s no need to turn into your father just yet. That’s why we like pieces like this B-Store chambray shirt-jacket. The fit will be a little challenging for some, but if you can pull it off then you’ll be sure that no-one else will be rocking the same top as you. Get it from B-Store.

Check after the jump for a close-up shot.

Loake Trapper Desert Boot

loake trapper boot Loake Trapper Desert Boot

With all the heritage shoe hype going to Grenson, Church’s and Trickers, it’s easy to forget that Loake have just as much heritage as the aforementioned brands. These suede desert boots have a nice distressed look about them, which means they just might be able to withstand a random downpour. We wouldn’t risk it though. Get this from The Three Threads.

Take a look at detailed shots after the jump.

COS Car Coat

cos car coat COS Car Coat

We featured this in our post on COS’s SS09 collection but we feel this piece deserves a closer look. Of all the lightweight jackets we’ve seen this season, this coat is the best in terms of fit and value. This coat avoids the boxy fit that COS have been doing lately, which is a bit of a love/hate kind of fit for many people. Value-wise, it costs £129 and is infinitely better than say, a similar coat at Topman priced at around £80. Again, like all COS pieces, you can’t get it online, so you’ll have to hunt out a store to get it from.

“The latest number of Blanket Magazine is now online ready for download. This interesting webzine is dedicated to new talents in art, design and photography. The cover of Issue 15 of Blanket Communication was created by Will Bryant, interviewed on Page 61. We strongly recommend a look at the kaleidoscopic world explored and highlighted in previous issues.” (c’n'c costume national)

Rapha Swift Jersey

rapha swift shirt 00 Rapha Swift Jersey

As I prep for my ride to the docks to watching the end of the Boston leg of the Volvo Ocean race, I wish I could substitute this white t-shirt for Rapha’s Swift Jersey. It just looks great and is perfect cycling wear for the 80-90F weather we’re experiencing in the Northeast of the USA today.

“Using a vintage jersey style, the black flocked silhouettes of swifts in flight on black makes for a beautifully understated and distinctive design. The cut is similar to that of other Rapha jerseys, using side panels to create a slim fit, and cut longer at the back. It has a classic ribbed neck and sleeve cuffs with a metal zipper to give it an old-school feel.”
