Lee Japan gets all farmhand on us with their Spring/Summer 2009 collection looks. With their archive collection beginning to trickle over from Japan into Europe and the States, we’re hoping to see more shine on their heritage collection. The United States has more than one great denim company. They just simply have to show us the same kind of love that the Japanese market gets. Come on, Lee. Push it.

In her new book on modern architectural legend Alvar Aalto, Eeva-Liisa Pelkonen considers the Aalto’s oeuvre in context of his cultural and intellectual milieu. Alvar Aalto: Architecture, Modernity, and Geopolitics investigates Aalto’s writings with an unprecedented focus. Pelkonen is the chair of the Master of Architectural Design program at Yale University. The book is out from Yale University Press.

Another of our favourite magazines 10 Man turn us onto Trussardi 1911’s new furniture, which is designed by Milan Vukmirovic. It’s pretty rare to see the creative director to take on a hands-on with the home range but clearly Vukmirovic has an extremely clear vision for the brand’s identity. We don’t have prices yet, but we’d rest assured that they’re out of our price range.

The worn-in denim jacket is a piece that’s growing in popularity all the time. Denim has long been predicted by every magazine and their dog as the main trend for this spring/summer so it’s not surprising that there is such a large amount of denim options out there right now. As usual, we’re fans of the styling in the picture and think it’s a look that could be easily achieved even if you don’t have the means of getting this specific jacket. If you’re still a frequent flyer or just cautious, a passport holder makes perfect sense. It saves your passport from wear and tear and makes them look better. However, when a passport holder says ‘citizen of the world’ like this one does, we can’t help but feel it’s a little cheesy.
