ndc autumn 2009 01 N.D.C Autumn/Winter 2009 Footwear Preview

We hate to tease, but we feel that this preview into Nom De Code’s Autumn/Winter 2009 collection is ample enough to satisfy your needs for now. NDC’s AW09 collection continues their signature styles (as seen on the right) but they’ve also introduced some new styles, like the suede boot with a uncharacteristically chunky sole. We’ll bring you the rest of the collection when it arrives, but for now feast on the shots after the jump.

Mjolk ‘Simonslouch’ Trousers

mjolk jersey trousers Mjolk Simonslouch Trousers

We’ve finally figured out what we don’t like about the pictures at ASOS. It’s the models. No offence to the guys – I’m sure they’re nice guys and all that – but they just don’t suit some of the brands they’re modelling. Although these are labelled as slouch trousers, they’re actually slim-fit jogging bottoms (aka the most dangerous trend out there). There’s plenty of room for these to go wrong but just treat them like trousers and you’ll be fine. Get them from ASOS.

house ind tag sale Selectism | Around the Web

01. HOUSE Industries Tag Sale this Friday and Saturday (above)

This is a big one. “Our storage areas, library and flat files have been cleaned out for the House Industries tag sale on Friday, April 24th. Numbers to get in are available at 7am. Doors open at 9am.” #delaware (Houseind)

02. Matador Hit by Pressing Plant Shutdown

“According to Comcast’s Blinded by the Hype blog and confirmed by a Matador spokesman, the label behind some of the greatest indie rock records of the last 20 years recently lost some of their vinyl masters when 33 1/3, the vinyl pressing plant responsible for manufacturing their LPs, went bankrupt back in 2006.” (Pitchfork)

03. Before & After: Wonder Bread

“A New Take on a Classic Brand: When the needs of a changing market place indicated it was time to update the Wonder brand for a slightly older and more health-conscious consumer, Willoughby Design knew the solution wasn’t reinvention, but evolution.” (Dieline)

04. The new Headquarters of Telefonica in Madrid / Rafael de La-Hoz

“A campus-headquarters vision, is designed after a long process of studding the liabilities, necessities and objectives definitions. This makes its conceptual flexibility and its homogeneous architecture a high financial value; nevertheless, with a strong architectural definition.” (Arch Daily)

05. Milan Furniture Fair Starts Today!

Belstaff Reversible Bomber Jacket

belstaff burnt green front Belstaff Reversible Bomber Jacket

You are looking at a reversible burnt green Belstaff jacket. I am not convinced on the shiny green exterior but because I love the interior detailing on the reverse side, I’ll share it with you. What you can be guaranteed of is that it’s Belstaff quality. What I cannot guarantee is that the green will camo you (or your stash) in the grassy field of the next big festival you attend. Marni Autumn/Winter 2009

marni fall winter 2009 00 Marni Autumn/Winter 2009

I tried to avoid all the skinny trousers for this preview of the Marni Autumn/Winter 2009 collection but it is almost unavoidable. Season after season, and with the recession helping, the slim man rules the fashions of the season. But do not fret if your form is a few stones heavier than what’s shown. We’re sure that they offer styles which will accommodate everyone. I give props to the waist high green sweater and pull over grey check jacket – because no one else will. (coutequecoute)

BEAMS Spring/Summer 2009

beams spring summer 2009 00 BEAMS Spring/Summer 2009

The Cavaliers may [removed], but at least Cleveland’s native son, MW, is a respectable gentleman. His ACL project brings us some looks from BEAMS Japan’s Spring/Summer 2009 Catalog of Collaborations. Its not actually called “Catalog of Collaborations” but it may as well be. BEAMS knows how to convince the likes of Dickies, and Champion to produce quality wears for the Japan market giving these brands considerably higher gain than they would receive in the USA.

More looks from the BEAMS Spring/Summer 2009 Catalog after the jump.

Step back from the light! This Rugby by Ralph Lauren madras, paisley, dye print, (what am I missing to mention?) shirt comes at you with a blinding array of primary colors. It’s one of those prep style pieces that can be pulled off by a handful of people without getting dirty looks. We love it. (collete)

Costume Nationale turns up fashionable shit kicking with two new boots. The color way alone sells these mid and high top kickers. The upper is finished in black leather while the heel and sole are finished in neon yellow, which should tell people to keep their distance. Avoid people rocking these boots in pubs or you may be in for it. Costume Nationale – proving that even the hardest of dude can buy (or take) what they please.
