The “cool kids” rock moleskins. Real m’f'ers rock Rhodia all day – No.16 to be precise. Paul Smith knows this as well which is why they have teamed with Rhodia to celebrate the French brand’s 75th anniversary with a set of special designer edition notebooks. Founded in Lyon, France in 1934, Rhodia has become a standard notebook in European households and beyond for decades. the collaborative notebooks with Paul Smith feature the standard orange as as well a black edition with various designs on the covers.

The black Paul Smith covers for Rhodia have my name written all over them. I’m sold. Look for them at the end of May. 5×5 graph paper runs.

More views of the Paul Smith for RHODIA 75th Anniversary Notebooks after the jump.

Actually the real mfers rock WritersBlok writing pads, as they donate part of their proceeds to the 826 writing workshop programs for youth. Just sayin’…

Real m’fers buy the regular Rhodia notebook because it costs less and doodle on it themselves. Just because Paul Smith puts multicolored lines on something doesn’t mean you have to pay extra.

  4. Davidkr,

That’s exactly what my m’f'ers comment meant. It was about Rhodia proper and not Paul Smith for Rhodia. Sorry that was not clear.

Also , I dont think they cost extra either. Same price but only available through Paul Smith Japan stores.

JC – Rhodia user since 98.

    Jeff,

Dig. Well, I saw some -Paul Smith for Rhodia- notebooks at Tokyu Hands a few months back that had the signature random colored lines at the bottom but no sketches to be seen. They were about twice as expensive as the regular ones. Take away point – Rhodia, ftw.
