Following on from the Navajo-themed mainline, April 77 Records have released their AW09 collection for all to see. Unsurprisingly for a music-based fashion offshoot, the influences are from different musical era – punk, grunge, skinhead, twin peaks and sailor, specifically. The styling in this shoot might be a little too vintage-dressing-Shoreditch-hipster for some, but we’re sure pieces in this collection could translate to any number of styles.     Hipsters always look like shit, especially when they rip off from subcultures they don’t know a bloody thing about. I think any hipster that walks around trying to look like a skinhead deserves to get their ass beat, even more so if they don’t know the culture’s about reggae music and not politics.

    I agree with Arthur. Popular culture and fashion fail to create something new. Ripping off subcultures. Skinheads always get strainge looks in the streets, but now all of a sudden it’s OK to ‘try’ to look like us.
    If any middle class trendy wanker dresses up like a skinhead, they shouldn’t be surprised to get a beating. Just like Ashton Kut cher…
