The Selectism team is on site for Berlin’s Fashion Week as well as Bread & Butter which makes it’s return to the city after a few year absence. This seasons BBB show is being held  the former Tempelhof Airport location in Berlin proper. The floor space of the show wraps more than a kilometer around – a very expansive space.

Fashonisto gives their take on the Petar Petrov collection for Spring 2010. “The diversity and in rare cases eccentricity found in beauty and the transformation of those ideals inspired Petar Petrov’s latest collection. Men.style works up a great new riding shirt in by Steven Alan in conjunction with Chari & Co. “Alan’s new flannel riding shirt—designed in conjunction with Lower East Side track-and-fixie mecca Chari & Co.—has a long tail to cover your ass and a Velcro-fastened rip-open chest pocket that’s been relocated to a messenger-bag-friendly position. There are also sweatshirt-style ribbed cuffs on the sleeves, sturdy snaps on the placket, and what’s being called a “hunting pocket” zippered into the back.”

Pretty Green keeps dropping select looks online for pre-sale purchase. Their parka jacket is worth a look. “An iconic Parka jacket that captures Liam’s classic mod style. Like the chukka, there are countless variations on the classic buck shoe. So many that they tend to get lost in the mix but these Japanese made “Super Bucks” from Hiroshi Tsubouchi may be the standouts with their gum sole and purple upper. Extra nice comfort for ya. (arks)

In stepping up our summer grill game we’ve been researching new and interesting devices that allow all types of cooking outside. Another day, another look at Alexander McQueen’s SS10 footwear collection. Brogues used to be the classic shoe style of choice, but Oxfords are gaining popularity and they look like they’ll be the shoes of next year.

Regular readers will know we’ve got a thing for the worn-in look, it brings a rugged refinement that isn’t seen in brand spanking new shoes. Created by Wieden + Kennedy, the new Levi’s campaign “Go Forth” combines heritage and a sliver of sexiness. Like the Wrangler advertisements we’ve previously featured, the “Go Forth” images were shot by Ryan McGinley. The new spots will run across print, digital and television.
