You can always rely on Pierre Hardy to make great high tops. The former Dior footwear creative director has been going since 2002 in the men’s side of things, offically starting the high top collection back in 2006. Three years on and the fashion landscape has changed immeasurably. High tops have moved from diversive footwear to staple, so the dilemma now is not how to make them high-end, but rather how to make them feel like new.

As a result of this, we’re noticing more experimentation in the materials used, and in Hardy’s case more luxurious materials, while the silhouette remains the same. For example, the versions pictured above are suede with patent lining while below the leap you can see various uses of calf leather and gold.

Take a look at the high top armada after the leap.

  1. Very Bomb Sneaks. High tops are crucial in any modern wardrobe today. These are by far one of my most favorite.

  2. Kid:

Plus: they are so very yesterday. Suede and patent leather…..thats FW 08!
