Fabien Baron Aviator Sunglasses

In between his frequent sessions of musical chairs with Glenn O’Brien, Fabien Baron has found the time to design these aviator sunglasses. They come in matte black and gold metal frames and are handmade in Japan.

While these are interesting, we’d have a hard time recommending these over a pair of Ray-bans. In fact, we’d go as far as to say that these are aimed at those who feel that wearing certain brands somehow makes them a better person (so that’s 90% of rappers then). However, if you’re dying to get a piece of Baron, this is the way to go. (Browns)

Take a hop and skip to see the matte black version.

  1. Agreed, these really don’t look like anything special… That’s not to say they don’t look nice, but they’re totally uninspired and could be purchased almost anywhere else for much less

  2. Rennie:

If you are going to offer opinions and editorial for an items featured on this website, you should be consistent and present opinions/reviews to every item. It’s quite unfair and passing judgement on audiences who make their purchases based on popular opinon is quite hypocritical for a hype blog.

  3. Rennie, the reason I felt compelled to comment on the audience in this post was because there’s no denying they’re nice shades, but they’re not nice/unique/well made enough to warrant the price jump over similar aviator shades.

Also, I don’t see us as a hype blog (although others may disagree). We post items we genuinely like and wear, not because everyone else is talking about them.
