The most talked about show coming out of Paris is arguably the John Galliano “Napolean Bonaparte” inspired runway show held inside a decade old abandoned pool. Armand Limander for NYT’s “The Moment” put it best, “His fantastic exposition, set to a blaring soundtrack that included an homage to Michael Jackson, piled on an assortment of distressed leather jackets, heavily embroidered coats, amazing turbans (some made out of shirts), wreaths of flowers and, needless to say, plenty of his signature underwear. The models were transformed into historical characters, whether it was in reference to Bonaparte’s travels to Egypt and Sicily, or the reinterpretation of his grand military silhouettes in the 1927 silent film “Napoléon” by Abel Gance…” (photos:menstyle)
